In 1971 Darine Stern became the first African-American woman to grace the cover of Playboy magazine solo... and it was this image that captivated me on a t-shirt I found in Urban Outfitters this past weekend. I must admit that it was the fro that first grabbed my attention and how could it not? I love that a brown skinned, frolicious beauty was showcasing the sex appeal of black women and natural hair!

Buying the shirt was an obvious thing, but now I'm faced with finding a way to add a creative twist. I might make it a tank... or even cut the collar and allow it to have a comfy fit.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to make this shirt pop? I can't wait to rock it... especially with a similar blown out fro.
