My mom is the epitome of a true DIY type of woman. In an effort to make my thumbs a bit greener, she suggested a trip to Lowe's. The Outcome? Plants are beautiful, but to achieve the full, luscious look I love it can be expensive. Also, for some strange reason I'm really drawn to ferns. I always thought you could just walk in and start grabbing stuff you liked but there's really a science to this. Some plants need tons of water, tons of sunlight all the time... Others are low maintenance and can even survive the winter frosts in the desert. I snapped a few pics of things that caught my eye while there. Do you have a green thumb?
