The Walking Dead: Season 2 Episode 4

So, yesterday I was sick and spent the day at home resting up, staying hydrated, and catching up on all my DVR shows. I finally got to watch Sunday night's episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" (my favorite show), and boy oh boy.. was that one hell of a twist at the end!!! My God this show is so freaking good.

I don't want to give anything away, but I did want to take a moment of silence out for bad boy Shane Walsh's body!! Yowzers... He hopped out the shower, shaved that head, and I was in love.

He's technically not a "thick neck," but those traps (and abs) do make my heart skip a beat. I wish the camera panned down and showed the rest of his delightful body. It's truly delectable.

Note to the producers - - please keep his hair cut like this for the rest of the season!!! I swear you'll gain more female fans lol...

As for the rest of the episode, I'm continuing to love the performance of this ensemble cast. It's giving me tinges of nostalgia for how Grey's Anatomy used to be before Burke left... I love this cast! I still think Dale is annoyingly overprotective of Andrea (if she wants to off herself let her...) and I'm a little smitten with Daryl. With his racist brother gone (though I heard he's coming back this season possibly), I think he's having a chance to spread his wings and find his place in the group. T-Dog I'm on the fence about... maybe because his name is "T-Dog" lol...  Glenn should have more lines, but I wonder if a relationship will grow between him and that new girl (forgot her name). I'm hoping that Carol's daugher Sophia doesn't come back... I even wished for Carl to not make it lol... I think the kids slow the group down.

Is anyone else watching? This show is pretty much the most amazeballs thing on TV right now.

Season 2: AMC's "The Walking Dead"

Last year, AMC's hit show The Walking Dead quickly became a favorite for my husband and I to watch. It had enough suspense and drama to keep both of us entertained, with the violence and gore he loved, and heart-warming relationships that hit the spot for me. I just saw the official trailer for Season 2, and I'm SO freaking excited it premieres Sunday night @ 9/8c! Seriously, if you haven't watched this show you're definitely missing out! The writing is so well done, sucking you in and bringing you to the edge of your seat, while the ensemble cast does a remarkable job giving life and dimension to the characters.

Set your DVR to record the Season 2 Premiere Sunday Night (9/8c on AMC), and in the meantime get your zombie fix by checking out the trailer below.

Sidebar: I've always been one to OD on reality shows, but I've been enjoying all of the scripted series in my life! It's actually refreshing...

Have you been watching HawthoRNe?

I've seen a few people tweet about Jada Pinkett-Smith's show "HawthoRNe," but I had never seen it myself... Well, that is until I stumbled across this little gem NecoleBitchie posted!

 O...M...G!

I'm all about perfecting your craft, but it's safe to say Jada and Marc are pros! Seriously... I get that it's just acting, really good acting, but I would never want my husband to be in a scene like this. Not that people don't occasionally bring their personal problems to work, but imagine Jada and Marc using this scene to get out their frustrations re: their failing marriages (allegedly for Will/Jada).

The scene was HOT and the perfect example of a short person, soft-core TV sex scene. Yes, they kept their clothes on, but around the 2:04 mark I think things got real. Around 2:44 I was looking around for a cold shower... and by the end of the video I was lighting up a cigarette - - and I don't even smoke!

They were really going at it and, wow... didn't know little old Marc Anthony had all of that in him! The scene was very believeable... very "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" - - Jada and Marc were actually giving me a tinge of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt flashbacks... We all know how that one ended.

So, what do you think about the scene? An example of actors doing a great job or did it cross the line of being a little too real?

Sidebar: Does anyone watch HawthoRNe? Aside from the sex scenes which are obviously awesome, is the show worth watching?

Better late than never...

It's probably a result of the insane amount of reality TV I watch each week, but I'm usually late to jump on the bandwagon of popular scripted shows. Girlfriends and Sex and the City were the two major shows I caught after the fact, making me realize how much I had been missing, but also how nice it was to watch all of the episodes at once. My husband is a movie buff with a vast collection of anything and everything. Our nighttime tradition is to work our way through seasons and seasons of series that he owns. I've become a fan of How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, and even 30 Rock due to this... all shows I would never have watched on my own.

The latest addition to the lineup has been Seinfeld, a show I never watched. I must admit that this show is pretty good. I can't say I would have had the patience to watch it each week, especially since it ran from '89 - '98 and I wasn't checking for him when I was that young lol... but now I find myself wanting to take in 3-4 episodes a night! The comedic timing is perfect, the writing spot on, and the characters great. I'm even starting to feel like George Costanza is my real life friend... albeit an annoying one lol. Right now we're waiting for the current seasons of How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory to finish airing so the DVDs can come out. I'm not ready to give up my reality TV addiction, but I love adding some scripted comedy to my life.

What are your favorite scripted shows? Do you and your spouse have any nighttime traditions?

Dancing with the Stars

As a young girl my mother and I always watched Ballroom Dancing together. PBS routinely featured competitions and we'd sit mesmerized at the eye-catching outfits, dazzling dance moves, and over the top personalities. When 'Dancing with the Stars' began on ABC I was instantly a fan and excited that Ballroom Dancing was able to go mainstream.

This season one of the standout competitors has been Lil Kim. I've always loved Kimberly Jones. When I was little I used to be obsessed with the idea of having her as an older sister (please don't ask why... lol... I have no clue) She has impressed everyone with her dynamic dance ability. Not only is she graceful and powerful, she is high energy and exciting to watch. I'm rooting for her to pull out a win this season. Last night she performed in the 'Team Tango' challenge. I thought she did a wonderful job. Check it out below:

Dancing with the Stars airs on ABC Monday and Tuesday nights. Click here for more info.

**Fast Forward to the 2:15 mark if you want to skip the behind-the-scenes footage**

Dhani Tackles the Globe - Sneak Peek

I just received the following videos from Brian Gross (Crew Creative - Interactive Marketing) and I wanted to share with everyone! These videos provide a sneak peek of Monday night's new episode where Dhani explores Switzerland and tries his hand at Schwingen. The show airs Monday nights at 9p on the Travel chanel.

Riding the River in Switzerland

Dhani's first Schwingen Tournament

The Travel Bug Effect

NFL linebacker Dhani Jones is the newest addition to the Travel Channel family. On "Dhani Tackles the Globe", Jones can be seen jet setting across the country and taking in the most popular sports in the country that's hosting him.

This is a masculine spin on the typical travel shows that usually feature chefs (Extreme Foods with Andrew Zimmer, No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain), travel writers (Samantha Brown), or even playmates (Bridget's Sexiest Beaches). Finally, a show for the guy's guy... and boy oh boy, is Dhani Jones 100% man!

It's hard to talk about Jones without mentioning his uber sex appeal, eye candy status, or his stats. At 6'2", 235 lbs and a size 14 shoe Jones keeps me glued to my tv (mouth slightly ajar) and that 18.5" neck... it sends chills down my spine. Really, he is the prototype for the ideal man. Why can't they manufacture men like this? (sidebar: I can barely write this blog because I'm staring at his abs....)

But there's more to Dhani than meets the eye. This 31 yo is not only an 8 yr NFL veteran, but he's an entrepreneur too. He took his love of bow ties (think Farnsworth Bentley and Andre 3000) and founded Five Star Ties, his own line of men's accessories. When he's not on the field for the Cincinnati Bengals or designing for his fashion line, Jones enjoys writing poetry, oil-painting, and photography.

His show airs Monday nights 9p on the Travel Channel.

Loves It

I'm watching the Tyra Show right now (I know, I know...I've sworn off watching this show a thousand times...) and Tyra was absolutely hilarious! She's talking about her new show coming out with Ashton Kutcher called "True Beauty" and she had the judges, Vanessa Manilo and Nole Marin, on. Well, they were talking about their personal beauty tips. Vanessa said lots of water and sleep. Nole said tons of cream. Tyra chimed in with "sunscreen" and then let loose following that up with "concealer, a great foundation, lashes, a wig or some weave, lip gloss, lip liner..." It was priceless. Though it was only a small, humorous moment it really made me let out a belly laugh and kinda like Tyra again. She gets to be a bit much at times...kind of like a friend that you need to take in with small dosages...but I think I like her again. *sigh*

Back in Action...

The Game is one of my favorite shows on tv right now. This season started off a bit slow and had me feeling like the writing had Melanie, one of the main characters, turning into this weak, whiny, unfashionable chick...everything that she wasn't the past few seasons. Well, she finally got her swagger back! In the following clip (towards the end) Melanie is like a new person and it's a breath of fresh air for fans of the show. Her clothes got better, her attitude is on an upswing and she has a bounce in her step!
