Fashion Fix: Racerback for the DD girl

All Summer long I've been loving these Burnout Racerback Tanks I found @ Urban Outfitters. I had previously looked for racerback bras but had a difficult time - - few designers actually make this style in DD sizes. Walking around with my straps showing was a bit tacky, but I loved these tanks so you know... I wanted to wear the tops so I said "eff" the straps lol. After a comment from my mother ("What kind of woman walks around with her bra straps showing?") I knew it was time to really invest in a quality racerback bra.

I did some searching online and narrowed things down to the Wacoal T-Back bra available at most Nordstrom and Macy's stores (style #65124). Not only does this bra come with the supportive underwire big boobs love, but it's also seamless and looks great under most clothes. The colors aren't spectacular - - you can only choose from black, nude or white... but I promise you that this will quickly become your go-to bra. This is currently selling for $42.

Doggie Date

I spent my Labor Day rocking morning after hair and walking my gorgeous dog Jazzy. She's a 7yo Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix and I love her immensely.

Million Dollar Baby: The chronicles of my boxing workouts

Though I workout with a personal trainer 3 times a week, I still make it a point to show my face in LA Fitness on my off days. At least twice a week I try to take a class (spin, yoga, etc) or get in a run on the treadmill. The Scottsdale location has a Thursday night Club Boxing class that I was eager to try. Since I've had boxing incorporated into my workouts the past 2 months I've really developed a love of the sport for fitness purposes. I was curious to see what this class was all about but within minutes of arriving I knew I was in for a shock. Turns out my trainer has been spoiling me by wrapping my hands. I guess everywhere else in the world you're taught how to wrap your own hands.

*crickets*

I was able to freestyle a bit, but I could easily tell the difference between having a professional wrap and my bootleg job. Luckily, my trainer made a video on how he wraps hands and I wanted to share! For anyone that is looking for a secure, snug, yet still comfortable hand-wrapping technique check out this video:

Beat to Perfection

Has anyone else noticed how absolutely stunning Serena's makeup has been looking lately. Coco & Creme reported that she's jumped on the Kim Kardashian train and started using her famed makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. Whatever she's doing I want more of it! Her face has been beat to perfection and it's about time. I'm a firm believer that celebrities and millionaires have no excuse to look a mess. Yes, we all have off days but when you're rolling in dough I think you should roll over to a salon, spa or stylist and get your situation in order.

I hope Serena can keep this up...

Off to the slammer...

I continue to be baffled by celebs that struggle to grasp the concept of doing dirt in the confines of their home. I'm not a smoker, nor do I make it a habit of popping pills or drinking syrup... but if I did it'd most definitely not be done while cruising the streets of LA.

The other day TI and Tiny were arrested for having weed, X pills and syrup on them and all I can do is shake my head. They're really losing if they think their shit is so hot they won't get caught up. Now all the of the success TI has been making since his release looks like a joke and Tiny, in my eyes, looks like a fool. Usually the woman will be the voice of reason but there she was, assuming the ride or die role, getting cuffed along with her man. They're the epitome of a hood romance. This is when keeping it real, being the ride or die, goes wrong. Stand by your man but have some sense to know when to pull the reigns and keep his ass in the house.

Making matters more comical, she sent out a twitter update thanking folks for their prayers, etc and I'm baffled as to why people are sending out prayers?? She didn't experience a death in the family... she was getting drunk and high in the back of their Maybach and got caught! That warrants the prayers of her fans?? I'm perplexed....

Another celeb showing off how idiotic they can be is Paris Hilton. I think her entire life is a fail right about now... (especially since she basically gave her handbook on how to make something out of nothing to Kim Kardashian and everyone stopped caring about her lol) was busted in Vegas with some coke... and guess what? She told the officer that she thought it was gum! Fucking dummy.... I just think it's hilarious (and kinda sad) that nobody is being the voice of reason and common sense in these people's lives.

I have no pity for celebrities that do idiotic things. It may sound harsh, but I hope both TI and Paris Hilton serve more jail time.

Day 30: The finish line...

Today is not only the last day of my 30 day blogging challenge, but it's also the final lap in this 1st deployment for my husband and I.

Military couples can attest to the fact that the deployments are long, hard and often chaotic, but today my husband and I received a tentative return date for him to be in the states. It's not set in stone... of course nothing with the military is, and I won't believe it until I get the call that he's on the plane from Germany back to the US... but it does feel like we're rounding that final corner in that final lap, the finish line in site. Deployments can sometimes feel like a race that has no end, but I'm glad to know the end is quickly nearing.

In terms of my blogging challenge, I'm happy that I was able to write every day (even when I didn't want to) and never fell behind. It's easy to give up or overload on catch up posts but to me that defeats the purpose of the challenge. What I'll take away from this challenge is trying to find more creative ways to share my thoughts with readers. I'm in the process of working on some new things for next year so I'm excited to be able to share that with everyone.

Happy Hump Day!!!
