Taking Chances

"Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool, where you least expect it, there will be a fish." - Ovid

We can't get into a college or find a new job if we don't try. Those that we think of as being lucky are often simply those who have been willing to take a chance, to put themselves on the line.

We often talk ourselves out of exploring opportunities, because we're convinced that there is little chance we would succeed. But if we aren't willing to put our hook in the pool, it's guaranteed that we will never catch a fish.

Put it into action: I will look for an opportunity I might otherwise pass by and take a chance on it.
