Fashion Fix: Taking the Plunge

I remember wearing bodysuits as a little girl... always dreading trips to the bathroom because I'd have to fuss with those snaps! Well, this bodysuit is one that I'm willing to tolerate. This uber sexy, DEEP plunge number is compliments of American Apparel. It retails for $40 and it HOT! I thought about rocking it for my birthday but promised my husband he'd be the first to see it in action lol... let's just say that this dress is walking sex so definitely wear it with caution. You'll be advertising all kinds of hotness and sure to gain a fan club. The top is so outrageous that I'll opt for a more demure bottom. I'm thinking a pencil skirt or maybe something more casual - - who knows!

Fashion Fix: Simply Devinne

A few weeks ago I came across a blog post that featured denim shoes and I could do nothing but scrunch my face up and leave negative comments. I thought some things should just be denim free!

Well, imagine my surprise when I was shopping this past weekend and found a pair of denim sandals that caught my eye. I was reluctant to pluck them off the shelf just because they were denim shoes lol... but I couldn't deny the fact that I was being drawn to them. I decided to follow my instincts and buy them and I couldn't be happier. Yes, denim shoes aren't for everyone... but I realized that these Steve Madden "Devinne" shoes WERE for me! The detail on the toe and ankle cuffs is what makes these shoes pop and I got them for nearly 30% off the retail price. They come in black and brown colors too... but I like the denim. It's different and fun for summer. What do you think?

Brazilian Blowout Update

It's been about 2 months since I got my Brazilian Blowout and I just wanted to update everyone on my experience.

- Blowing my hair out is still a breeze. The key to getting a great look has been using a round brush. I wish I discovered this sooner!!

- My curl pattern has become more defined and I really do love it. I find myself wearing my hair curly most of the time, but when I straighten I still get the shine and bounce that I love.

Overall I'm still a happy camper. I'm glad I got the blowout done and still recommend it to my friends - - but done professionally of course. No kitchen beautician with this folks...

Fashion Fix: Bangle Bangle

This season I've been gravitating towards big jewelry. I love bold metals with strong accents and hardware. I came across these two bangles at everyone's favorite, Forever21, and had to get them. While I'm a fan of layering bracelets, these bangles are hot enough to stand on their own. What bracelet trends are you guys rocking this season?

Reality Check: Real Housewives of NJ

Last night Bravo took viewers back to Jersey for another season of Real Housewife drama and let me start off by saying.... Danielle, move the hell on with your life! Doing random drive bys with your daughters in the car? Not a good look. Complaining to anyone and everyone in ear shot about your drama with a group of women from last year? Not a good look. When your pre-teen daughters are giving you more sound advice than you can come up with... you have real issues. Is Jersey that small that you can't find other people to socialize with? Grown women should be able to move on with their lives if a friendship doesn't work out...

The preview of the season looks to be like more of the same drama... a trainwreck you can't turn away from. I don't know how much room I have in my life for grown women acting like kids. I graduated from high school years ago... I don't like being taken back there lol...

Nevertheless, new episodes air Monday nights on Bravo!
