Y'all this week has been a doozy! I came home to find my car had been stolen TOWED BY MY NEIGHBOR (down the street) because I parked within 5 feet of their driveway. Yes, that's a real thing! I just learned that in the city of Seattle you can't park within 5 feet of someone's driveway (or a curb). Like, this applies to ALL driveways and curbs even when there isn't any paint calling out any restrictions. In a city of mainly transplants, how the eff is anyone supposed to just know that!!

While the police don't normally ticket for this type of thing... especially in this crowded ass city... if a neighbor calls in a complaint then they will issue a violation. Basically, Petty with a capital P. So, yeah... $272 later, I have my car back, a court date, and advice from the Circuit Court of Seattle that I should "also call and get my neighbor's car towed" - which nearly makes my head spin!

What else - Game of Thrones is back, so we bit the bullet and added it back to Hulu. Anyone else feel pained adding HBO for an extra $14.99/mo? Just us? Oh, okay lol...

We also pose the question: How do you tell your upstairs neighbor that you don't appreciate being woken up at 3a by the loud sounds of them getting their back blown out... without sounding like a hater? Like, sis... I'm all for you catching an Orgasm, but like, 3am really? Oh - this is also the neighbor I thought died... so yeah, should I just continually catch this L? Should I wear ear plugs? Should I bang on the ceiling? I need your suggestions!

We received some great feedback from my bae and work wife (Hey Shavonne!) saying that we needed to "stop referencing our notes and just say the thing" lol... so we're doing that. Random, but why in the world is TLC making everyone die a slow death with ALL of the commercials?!?! I mean, damn. Maybe I've been spoiled by paying for ad-free experiences on Hulu and Spotify, but being forced to stream episodes on the TLC app (which are damn near 1/3 commercials) has been taxing. Also... I understand that I'm streaming episodes using someone else's login, so the fact I'm complaining about anything is already a joke. Still, I hate all of the commercials.

Recap: TLC's "90 Day Fiance" - Season 6 Episode 1 (Part 1)

I somehow convinced my fiancé Mike to not only watch the new season of TLC's #90DayFiance with me... but also podcast about the show each week! This is a big deal for 2 reasons: 1) I absolutely LOVE reality TV and became obsessed with Season 5 of #90DayFiance after a girlfriend (Hey Brit!) put me on... and 2) Mike absolutely HATES reality TV and most things about pop culture... but he loves me, so we're watching and dishing on each episode.

Podcast #407 Activating Faith Instead of Fear

For the past few years I haven't had a church home but instead opted to watch Joel Osteen. Based out of Houston, Texas, his messages are full of positivity and uplift and I really enjoy watching his sermons and downloading the podcasts. I find him inspirational and think you should subscribe to his free podcasts. They really do help minister to your soul on a daily basis.

Today I was listening to podcast #407 "Activating Faith instead of Fear". Here are a few of the notes I took while listening...



- Don't put your faith in your fears

- Don't let people talk you into settling for mediocrity

- Don't use your energy to worry, use your energy to believe. It takes the same amount of energy to believe and worry. Expect God's favor

- Don't use your faith in reverse (i.e. believing that bad things will happen, life will be hard, etc)

- Stay in faith that when one door closes, another will open

- What we meditate on is what will take root

- When you act on fear, you draw in the negative

- Fear will steal your joy, steal your enthusiasm and keep you awake at night

- Worry, fear, and wrong thinking is not just a bad habit, it's allowing the negative to come to pass

- If we're gonna stay in faith we have to be careful who our friends are. Be careful who you associate with. Fear is contagious. Worry is contagious. Negativity is contagious. If you're around people that are always complaining and discouraged, that spirit can get off on you. We can catch other people's emotions, just like a cold.

- Don't let your imagination run wild in the wrong direction

- God has brought you through the past and he'll bring you through the future
