Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23

"Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23" - - such a cute, quirky show that was full of humor and cast members I wanted to know in real life. I hate when I get sucked into a show via Netflix, only to realize that it's been cancelled.

There I was deep into season 2 and then BAM. Nothing. It's all gone. No smooth ending. No story lines coming full circle. I'm just sitting here, waiting to learn what else happens... but nothing else does happen.

Most of all I'll miss Luther - - full of wit and sass! I loved him. Oh, Luther... come be my real life gay bff! I'm in dire need.

Anyways, I've accepted that had I (and others) actually tuned in WHILE it was airing, the ratings would've been solid, and then we'd have a show to still watch. I'm going to start paying closer attention to scripted shows (Lord knows I have my fill of reality shows... I need a break from the contrived drama).

What shows are you watching and loving?

** I can admit that I've only made it through the first 5 episodes of Season 1 in Scandal. I started watching Chicago Fire too, but the episodes felt so long and I fell behind before the Season 2 premiere. What else? Prior to moving to Seattle I was on a nice stretch with Pretty Little Liars. My boyfriend, however, accused me of becoming WAY too emo (more than my usual amount lol) and was concerned about how into the teen drama I was. **

Game of Thrones Season 3 Episode 4

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the awesomeness that was Daenerys Targaryen in last night's episode of Game of Thrones!!

(Sidebar: I'm just now learning that Khaleesi isn't her actual name, but instead means "Queen" in Dothraki lol)

Khaleesi pretty much owned folks in episode 4 and I loved every minute of it. My boyfriend called it last week that she probably spoke the language and was going to take out that prick of a king dude... whoever he was. I didn't bother learning his name, but it doesn't mattered because her dragon made him toast.

Who else watched last night? I can't wait to see how this all plays out!

Idiot's Guide to Game of Thrones

Admittedly I wasn't that into "Game of Thrones" during the first two seasons. I watched here and there, but was by no means a full fledged fan. Enter Season 3 - - I've been hooked, but found myself asking my boyfriend "who's that?" far too many times.

In an effort to up my knowledge on the back story (and annoy him less lol), I found the "Idiot's Guide to Game of Thrones" put together by the Screen Junkies.

Game of Thrones airs Sunday nights @ 8p on HBO. Do yourself a favor and watch it!

Single Ladies: Season 2 Trailer

Last week I signed the petition to end "Basketball Wives" and I don't plan on watching anymore negative, female foolishness disguised as "reality tv". Out with the old and in with the new - - VH1 is back with the second season of "Single Ladies," an hour-long scripted drama I don't mind watching. I was sad at the departure of lead actress Stacey Dash, but just viewed the season 2 trailer and it looks like it'll be good. I'm all about supporting black actresses that are actually putting their skills to work.

Do you plan on watching?
