Performance. Music. Art. #SamRemix (via @iheartSAM)

If you're looking for an event that will flex your artistic muscle, the Seattle Art Museum will be hosting their annual Sam Remix party next Friday, on 8/21. The event will take place at the Olympic Sculpture Park from 8p - Midnight and feature performances, live music, artist-led tours, and some art DIY. The best part? I'll be guest tweeting during the event from the Seattle Art Museum twitter account (@iheartSAM) using the official hashtag #SAMRemix! Be sure to follow along with me as I share highlights from the night.

Of course the event wouldn't be complete without food and drinks, so be sure to come equipped with CASH so you can indulge in tasty treats from Monster Dogs & POP UP (think: fancy, hipster ice cream on wheels). The venue will also have ample CASH bars.

Note: This isn't an event where you'll get full off the food, so if you're prone to becoming hangry or can't pace yourself with drinks, please do everyone (and most importantly yourself) a favor and grab some food first.

Tickets are $25 for non-members and $12 for members (click here to purchase).
Use PROMO CODE: twitterremix0821 to save $5
It's kinda like I'm buying you a drink, so if you use the promo code tweet me a pic of what you use that extra $5 on!

I'm currently most excited about the art performance by The Internet Cat Video Festival. I mean, cats x online videos? This is sure to be epic! Seriously you all ... I've wasted countless hours of my life indulging in online cat videos. Those "epic cat fail" video compilations give me life!

Sip & Sin at The W Hotel (via @wseattle)

During a random night in lower Queen Anne, I stumbled into Oskar's Kitchen and ended up grooving to the sounds of DJ Topspin for hours. From that moment on I made it a point to stay updated on his rotating sets, not only because he's a dope DJ, but being new-ish to Seattle I figured a DJ would be the best source for all things fun.

Summer is a few weeks away and one of the events sure to become a staple in my weekly rotation are the "Sip & Sin" nights at the W Hotel Seattle

Hosted in the hotel's TRACE Bar and Lobby, the weekly events feature a rotating lineup of DJs and are broken into two categories:

SIP - Social Interactive Playtime: Every Wed and Thurs from 8p - Midnight. Features happy hour specials from 4p - 7p and 10p - Midnight. Note: Wednesday nights the DJs will spin traditional vinyl, so this is the night I prefer to attend.

Tips: Wednesday night is Ladies Night and features specials for women all night long. Also, their food is BOMB! I suggest getting there between 6p and 630p to take advantage of their food/drinks specials, then waiting until 8p to order your next round of drinks (ladies). The discount is about $4 to $6 off regular drinks, so it's a solid deal.

SIN - Social Interactive Nighttime: Every Fri and Sat from 930p - 130a. This also features happy hours specials from 4p-7p and 10p - Midnight.

I am not one to send people off, so I suggest checking out the event on either June 3rd (Wed - SIP) or June 19th (Fri - SIN) when DJ Topspin will be there. Here's a preview of his magic hands...
