@WalkingDead_AMC Does is Again

MERLE!!!! Yes, the backwoods hick everyone loved to hate stole the entire freaking show on Sunday night. I cannot even begin to put into words how stellar of a performance he did.

*sigh*

Man, I can't believe he's gone. I think I might miss him more than Shane.

What did you think of Sunday night's episode? So much anticipation leading up to the finale next week... I'll be on the edge of my seat.

One of these things is not like the other

Ready for a true Throwback Thursday? And not the ones where people post a picture from a few weeks ago... I'm talking about digging deep down in the crates and taking it back to Jr. High!! As the title of the post states -- one of these things is not like the other. Can you guess what it is? lol...

Welcome to the world of Ishea circa 1996. I was rocking my braids and thought my scrunchie game was untouchable! Oh, the memories.... Time sure flies by.

Sidebar: I was convinced I was chocolate brown until I got into high and had other black people around lol...

Started From the Bottom (via @melaniefiona)

Ever see a chick with a really big ass and be like, man... I want that? Well, listening to Melanie Fiona's version of "Started From the Bottom" makes me long for a set of pipes! Her voice is the perfect blend of "I can really sing, but I'm not obnoxious." I guess I should thank Drake for creating this... and I already know folks will be wearing this saying out all Spring and Summer long.

Speaking of which - - did you start from the bottom? And honestly where is this bottom everyone speaks of? Most people I know started from the suburbs, in a good school system, and now have college degrees and decent jobs. So yeah... I guess "bottom" is relative. Anyways, that's probably entirely too deep for this song.

As for me? I started from the bottom (West Suburbs) and now my whole team here (South Loop). I kinda like the sound of that!

Start at the 0:57 mark

Have Questions? @KidFury has answers

So, I must thank Kacey for dropping this little gem in my inbox. Kid Fury of "The Fury TV" is pretty much awesomeness wrapped up in a ball of amazing with a sprinkling of outspoken fabness on top! His videos are giving my life force the charge it needs on this dreary Monday morning.

He has over 60k subscribers on YouTube, so he's already some type of internet sensation - - I'm definitely late on this one... but for those that don't know who he is, check him out on Twitter and YouTube.

Fashion Fix: Gold Ankle Strap Sandals

Every once in a while Forever21 blesses my fashion life force with a little gem, and yesterday was one of those times. While browsing I snagged these Gold Strap Sandals, the perfect addition to my spring/summer fashion life force... and at $26.80 you can't beat the price.

The quality is also pretty good, which can sometimes be hit or miss with F21 shoes. The gold detail is pretty solid, and the back also features a gold zipper. The construction is on point and I think they'll easily hold up all season. If you're up to splurge a few more bucks, the pricier BCBG alternative might tickle your fancy.

Forever21 Gold Strap Sandal - $26.80

BCBG Gold Strap Sandal - $69.95
Everyone knows that my inner Persian excites whenever I see some Gold, so these sandals are the perfect go-to shoe for me. I think I might go back and pick up the nude as well. You seriously can't go wrong with gold accents.

Have you started getting your spring/summer wardrobe in order?

Willis Tower Skydeck Chicago

This weekend my girlfriend was in town visiting from Houston, so we made it a point to do a few touristy things. I hadn't been inside the Sears Tower Wills Tower in YEARS, and had been a bit curious about the much talked about "Ledge."

I'm not necessarily afraid of heights, but when that altitude climbs up a bit I tend to simmer all the way down lol. 1,353 feet above Chicago, my Ledge experience was not much different.

First off - - they CRAM you into the elevator. Well, first they filter you through a few lines, have you go through security, pay your $18 (adult ticket price), then CRAM you into the elevator. I kept thinking to myself, "Damn, you know another elevator will be back to get the rest of these folks." Being stuffed like sardines into an elevator about to go 103 stories up is just not a good look.

After a short ride up (about 60 seconds - - the elevator goes 18 mph #RandomFact), you arrive at the skydeck! The views up here are pretty cool and I'm sure would be even more amazing in the summertime with luscious green and lake views, or even at night with all the lights. It's still winter in Chicago so mostly everything looked like variations of grey and white. Still, it was nice.

Okay - - so the LEDGE! Ahhh... I was so incredibly nervous when I first set eyes on the ledge. Like, fear instantly set over my entire body and was like, "what in the ENTIRE hell are you doing up here? You're not about to really step out on that thing, are you?" I totally chickened out from standing on the Ledge. Like, standing on that thin piece of glass was just something that wasn't about to happen in my life force. I didn't want to be completely paralyzed by fear, so I managed to scoot my butt onto the Ledge and smile for a picture. I assure you my heart was racing the entire time.

Fear aside, I had a great time seeing the Skydeck and ledge. It's easy to pass up on the cool things our city has to offer because it may seem "touristy", but I did have a lot of fun.

Have you experienced the ledge?

Cuffing Season Comes to an End

Get ready to start you countdown and unhook those cuffs... March 20th marks the first day of spring and the official end of the 2012-2013 Cuff Season!!

As most people prepare to spring clean their homes, those that were enjoying the warmth of their Cuff Season boo thang will be prepping to clean up their romantic Life Force.

Oh yes, Cuff Season is coming to an end and for those that have been counting down the days until they could rotate the lineup, rejoice! You are a mere 2 weeks away.

I actually can't believe it's freaking March already. I mean, it feels like it was just Thanksgiving... but time is surely flying and we're a quarter of the way through the year. Taking stock of your Cuff Season antics, how did you do?

Most people know that I'm all about "Cuffing for a reason, not just a season..." so I'm sitting pretty holding onto mine... radiating clouds of emo happiness and glitter in the South Loop lol.

@Chris_Stark interviews Mila Kunis: Best Interview Ever

Clearly I'm American and had never heard of BBC 1 Radio's Chris Starks, but let it be known that this is by far the best press junket interview I've ever seen. Though he technically didn't really do his job of getting facts about the movie out of Kunis, he let his personality shine and showed, once again, how amazing of a person Mila Kunis is. It has to be said that's she's managed to survive success in Hollywood while maintaining her down to earth nature. I love that girl.

Can we get a movie with her and Jennifer Lawrence? That'd be awesome chick overload!!
