Lowe's w/ my Mom...

My mom is the epitome of a true DIY type of woman. In an effort to make my thumbs a bit greener, she suggested a trip to Lowe's. The Outcome? Plants are beautiful, but to achieve the full, luscious look I love it can be expensive. Also, for some strange reason I'm really drawn to ferns. I always thought you could just walk in and start grabbing stuff you liked but there's really a science to this. Some plants need tons of water, tons of sunlight all the time... Others are low maintenance and can even survive the winter frosts in the desert. I snapped a few pics of things that caught my eye while there. Do you have a green thumb?

My thumb is yellowish green, lol. I love plants and have several of them in my home. These are easy to care for, however, outside is a different story. I tried to put one of my house plants outside, and of course it when into shock. It still has life so I'm trying to bring it back. Sigh....I love plants/flowers but it can be a lot of work!

I really like plants. I'm laughing at Dengas yellowish green thumb! I'm sorta the same. Some plants live and flourish while others have been giving me the blues as I try to figure out how to keep the ends from browning. I have five houseplants and 2 outdoor plants.

@ Mrs Denga - I'm always drawn to the flowering plants, but the green ones are easier to care for.
