I tweet, therefore I am

I just joined twitter and I'm not exactly sure what the point of the site is but I figured I'd give it a try. It's funny because I despise people that constantly update their facebook status. Like, I don't care if you're in the bed sick, or walking down the street, or doing whatever normal thing it is you're doing...but twitter seems different. Maybe facebook would be better if I could figure out how to control who I got updates about because while I care what my friends are doing, that random guy from high school? Yeah, not so much. He can kick a pile of rocks.

With all that said, if you decide that you care what I'm up to - - want to hear my random thoughts - - or just exchange 160 character tweets lol... feel free to hit me up:

I had my heels planted firmly in the Anti-Twitter pavement since it started getting wildly popular. I didn't see the attraction of a site that's SOLE PURPOSE is status updates. Like--shouldnt we want more out of our days? From what I understand, Twitter has become ridiculously addictive. I still didn't see how something with JUST updates was addictive like that. In my mind, us humans should WANT something more stimulating.........right??? lol

Then one unfortunate night, I couldnt sleep and as part of this particular bout of insomnia, I joined Twitter. Ten minutes later, I signed out.

Needless to say, I haven't signed on since I opened the account. At all. It's too stupid to me. LOL

Haha. I can easily see myself never really getting too involved in twitter. I'm more of a paragraph kind of girl. 140/160 characters just doesn't do it for me. lol...but for now there's no harm in having it...just another app to add to my blackberry.

I have yet to join the Twitter craze. I have a friend on Facebook who changed her status to "Looking for followers on my blog and Twitter". WTH! LOL!! Now that I understand it's all about the status updates, it makes more sense.

I feel like twitter is more of a personal outlet for me to have mini monologues...

It's hard to say. I despise facebook status updates and technically this is the same thing. lol...but for some reason it feels a bit different. If you like constant status updates that's all twitter is. It could be great for you or you could find it useless since you have facebook.
